Happy Saturday, Carson City! We’re going to have a warm day in the low 70s, so be sure to throw on your t-shirts which may be the last time this fall (barring the typical end of November inexplicable heat wave). On the docket today we have the 30th annual Outhouse Races in Virginia City, a guitars and ukulele performance at the BAC, fundraisers, and more. Check out below to see what we’ve got going on for the rest of the weekend: — Check out the stars with a Carson City Library premiere card (all day). A premiere card from the Carson City Library is all families need to check out a lunar telescope for two weeks of space-gazing. The premiere card is free and works like a regular library card, with extra access to special items such as the NASA Explorer Backpacks now being offered by the Carson City Library. To get the card, just visit the library at 900 N. Roop St. and fill out an application. You must be 14 years of age or older to qualify. Bring valid photo identification, have a standard library card in good standing for 90 days and, for 14- to 17-year-olds, a parent or guardian’s signature. — Carson City Kiwanis is serving breakfast to raise money for scholarships...
