IF you’ve noticed condensation on your windows or mould spores in your showers, it might be time to invest in a dehumidifier. To help you pick the one that is right for you, here’s our guide of the best dehumidifiers around for every home and budget. They do so by working to cleanse the air of excess moisture and prevent mould and other nasty bacteria from growing. Some of the most powerful ones can suck up to 25 litres of moisture per day and this usually means they’re also very good at drying clothes. But if you just need one for your bedroom you won’t need that kind of power, and a smaller cheaper model should do the trick. Tribute To Trader Joe’s Founder, A Pioneer Who Changed The Way We Shop For The Better

If this is your first time registering, please check your inbox for more information about the benefits of your Forbes account and what you can do next! Joe Coulombe was a forward-thinking entrepreneur when he launched Trader Joe’s in 1967. He passed away on Feb. 28 at his home in Pasadena, not far from the popular chain’s very first store. We salute his mission to make grocery shopping less of a chore. Here’s a few reasons we appreciate the man who launched TJ’s. Coulombe was reading a book called White Shadows on the Seven Seas when he came up with the nautical theme for his first store. The staff still wears Hawaiian shirts and occasionally will don a festive lei, handing the fragrant flower necklaces out to commemorate the opening of new stores. According to the company’s excellent backstory on its website, the original crew members were charged with being “traders on the culinary seas”. That mission includes offering tasty morsels to shoppers, possibly enticing them to buy the latest featured products. Yes, we’re going to give that time-honored practice a place in the shopping hall of fame and credit to Trader Joe’s for being on the forefront of that delightful diversion. C...

Kansas-based mobile decoy company gets bowhunters close to action – Sports – The Hutchinson News

Heads Up Decoy, based out of Hays, offers a variety of light-weight, portable decoys that are known for bringing deer, elk, moose and turkeys in close thanks to their photo-realistic cloth bodies, which are draped over support frames to keep the correct shape. These unique decoys can attach to a hunter’s bow, a tree or even be stood up in a cornfield or held by a fellow hunter. “We underestimated their effectiveness early on and then we started pushing the envelope as far as how to use them,” said Garrett Roe, owner of Heads Up Decoy, during last month’s Kansas Monster Buck Classic in Topeka. “We just came up with new bowhunting tactics that are unique to our product. We’ve been doing it since 2008, so we’ve had a lot of water under the bridge, lot of experience and a lot of fun with them, actually.” Among the company’s featured products are decoys for antelope, whitetail bucks and does, mule bucks and does, elk, moose and turkeys, as well as ground stakes, handles, mounts, apparel and turkey calls made by Phelps. There is also a deer grunt call available from Rocky Mountain Hunting Calls and Supplies on the company’s website, https://www.head...

Get access to essential strategic content, in-depth reports, industry intelligence, and exclusive data. Like most shoppers, I did a little previewing before Black Friday, and I was able to get some good deals (at least I think so). Like 66% of shoppers, I wanted to check for sales and specials without having to venture into the stores during this crazy time. They were abundant, and I was going to capitalize on them. Kohl’s always has a deal, and they did not disappoint when visiting their homepage. Just before the holidays, shoppers were able to get 15% off across the board. Additionally, it’s always an added benefit that shoppers receive $15 Kohl’s cash for every $50 spent. This was a great opportunity to replenish some household items along with checking two items off my niece’s wish list. The holidays would not be complete without making at least one or two purchases at Amazon. I was in good company based on what we learned from the 1,055 shoppers we surveyed in our November 2019 Digital Commerce 360/Bizrate Insights research. 40% of shoppers intend to make half or more of their online holiday gift purchases at Amazon and 66% will make ¼ of their purchases at Amazon. The Best Beverage Coolers for Guys Who Take Refreshment Seriously

Be it a frothy beer, a can of your favorite soda, or just an ice-cold bottle of plain old water, there are few things in life as simply satisfying as cracking open and gulping down a crisp, chilled beverage when you’re thirsty. If this is one of those little pleasures that you enjoy on a daily basis, then a dedicated beverage cooler is one of the best things you can add to your kitchen or home bar – especially if you find yourself going through a lot of cans or bottles of your favorite drinks. A beverage cooler, also commonly known as a beverage center, is basically a beefy mini-fridge that’s designed solely for chilling drinks. What set a beverage center apart from a basic refrigerator are design touches like stainless steel construction, glass doors, and LED lighting, plus more powerful refrigeration capabilities (usually some sort of compression system similar to what you’d find in a full-size refrigerator) with precise degree adjustments within specific temperature ranges. Many people also opt to install a beverage cooler under a kitchen or bar counter, so these refrigerators are typically built more like heavy-duty home appliances than your standard dorm room mini-f...

Alibaba’s Ecosystem Drives Largest-Ever 6.18 Campaign

Tmall and Taobao have delivered the largest-ever – in both scale and reach – 6.18 Mid-Year Shopping Festival for Alibaba Group, connecting a record number of brands with the largest source of untapped consumption growth in China: the country’s hundreds of still-developing cities. Over 200,000 brands participated in 6.18 this year, said Alibaba. Apart from offering discounts and perks in their Tmall and Taobao stores, brands tapped Juhuasuan, Alibaba’s dedicated flash-sale and group-buying platform, to introduce deals exclusive to the festival. During 6.18, Juhuasuan saw 4,700 featured products top RMB 1 million ($145,000) in sales. There were 180 products that each took in over RMB 10 million on the platform, according to Juhuasuan. “The results of the 6.18 Mid-Year Shopping Festival are encouraging. It has proven to be a celebration that can match the enthusiasm and scale of the 11.11 Global Shopping Festival,” said Jiang Fan, president of Taobao and Tmall. During the campaign, more than 100 brands – including L’Oréal, Clé de Peau Beauté, Emporio Armani, Crocs, Godiva and Budweiser – saw sales surpass last year’s 11.11, the Chinese e-commerce giant’s biggest sales day of the ye...
